Welcome to One Stop Coach Solutions

We are a new company for coach, rail operators and minibus operators. We came up with the idea of S.O.S Happy Passengers after our coach broke down in a small Shropshire town for around six hours on a bank holiday weekend.

It took two and a half hours for the repair people to come out and then, to inform us they could not fix our coach until the next day.

Another hour went by trying to find a replacement coach which proved unsuccessful.

In the end, we had to wait yet another two and a half hours for someone to come from our own company with a replacement coach.

By this time the passengers and their tour manager were very angry at this unexpected delay. Therefore, S.O.S. Happy Passengers (the idea) was formed.

S.O.S. Happy Passengers

Please remember that S.O.S. Happy Passengers is not a charity run organisation. If you as an operator answer the call for help, you will need to cover your fuel costs, driver’s wages and any additional costs. Please remember that your company could be in this situation one day and you may need this service yourself.

S.O.S. Happy Passengers is not designed to rescue broken down coaches, only to get the passengers moving on to their destinations as quickly as possible.

I’m sure you will agree that the passengers are the most important part of your business and keeping them, the organisers and holiday companies happy is very important.

We are looking for a network of coach operators and minibus operators from the UK and Europe to become members of S.O.S. Happy Passengers.

It is free to register and join our network of S.O.S. Happy Passengers operators.

It is also free to answer the call for rescue.

Our system is simple but efficient: If a coach has broken down away from base either in the UK or Europe, the coach operator can click on our S.O.S. button and will be taken directly to the place to set events in motion.

There will be a few simple questions, for example:

  • Location of coach (address, postcode,)
  • Driver’s mobile number.
  • Number of passengers.
  • Destination?

The operator can then create the S.O.S. and within minutes any operators registered as S.O.S. Happy Passengers on our database in a radius of 20 miles of the stranded vehicle will be notified by SMS of the situation. If there is a coach and driver available then operators may reply in a very short time.

One Stop Coach Solutions is also alerted and we will monitor the situation.

If a coach is not found within a certain time frame we will search further afield on the operator’s behalf.

Unfortunately, One Stop Coach Solutions do incur charges for any S.O.S. created by operator’s.

Therefore, any operator broken down and requesting help, will need a minimum paid membership to create an S.O.S.

Operators will be allowed to create 2, S.O.S. per month, (subject to change).

Any further breakdowns will be charged at a monthly membership rate.

Any operator with full annual membership that do not create an S.O.S. will qualify for a 15% discount off their next annual membership.

We do have some other features on our website such as, Bid-A-Job and 70/30 Empty Legs, and as an S.O.S. Happy Passengers operator member, you will be able to use these features to post any available jobs you may have.

You can manage your own jobs from start to finish free of charge.

If you wish to apply for a job on 70/30 Empty Legs or on Bid-A-Job, that have been posted by another operator, you will need a paid membership.

Coaches may be away from base for any length of time and they may need to be cleaned and refreshed. Sadly, there are not many coach washing facilities or toilet drops available. Therefore, we are looking for toilet drops, wash down facilities and possibly overnight parking for coaches.

If you decide to fill out our application form you will be asked if you have any of these facilities. These will be shown on our website mapping system for drivers and operators future reference.

Picture this: broken down and stuck in a coach park in a small town for 6 hours on a bank holiday weekend with lots of angry passengers and a frustrated tour guide. Two hours later the repair people turned up and 30 minutes after that, we are told they cannot fix our coach until the next day as it needs a replacement part. Another hour wasted telephoning around unsuccessfully trying to find a replacement coach. Then to top it all we had to wait for two and a half hours for a coach to come from our own company. S.O.S. Happy Passengers (the idea) was formed.

Stuck in traffic on the M25 for nearly 3 hours, travelling empty from the North to Dover, to pick up passengers, lots of dead miles, what a wasted journey! Why could they not get a coach from that area? The same problem, empty one way. 70/30 Empty Legs (the idea) was formed.

Most of the features on here were formed from experience.

We have learned a lot during our years of driving and we have some time saving, energy saving, and money saving ideas.

S.O.S. Happy Passengers. If you have broken down, we may be able to help by putting you in contact with companies, that have signed up as S.O.S. Happy Passengers rescue operators.

Our S.O.S. Happy Passengers rescue operators, based in the area you have broken down, may help you, to get your customers to their destination as quickly and as safely as possible, without any fuss.

70/30 Empty Legs. With this feature two coach companies can earn money and help the environment by cutting down on emissions and saving fuel.

Bid-A-Job. Exactly what it implies, coach operators, private organisations and even the public can place jobs on this part of our site and other operators can put in a bid for the job.

N.E.R.D. (Need Emergency Relief Driver). With our N.E.R.D. service we may be able to find you a replacement driver during unexpected sickness or accident quickly.

We operate on a low-cost membership with no extra hidden charges. So, once you join you will have full access to our site. This service will operate 24 hours a day 365 days a year and will be regularly monitored.

We may need to add VAT at a later date, but until that time comes, your membership will not increase until 2019.

Once you have registered with One Stop Coach Solutions, we may be able to help put you in contact with other subscribers to our service.
